Australia offers business visas for entrepreneurs seeking to establish a new business in the country, as well as for those looking to invest in a secure, government-backed investment. Either option can lead to permanent residency in Australia.

The Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional) visa

Features – This visa is designed for people who wish to establish or manage a new or existing business in Australia, or for those wanting to invest in the country.

Requirements – You may qualify for this visa if you are nominated by a State or Territory Government, or by an Australian agency, and receive an invitation to apply from the Minister for Immigration and Border Protection.

The Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional) visa forms part of the Business Innovation and Investment Program. It allows you to lodge an Expression of Interest (EOI) through SkillSelect, which we can assist with on your behalf. You must then be nominated by a State or Territory Government or by Austrade, representing the Australian Government, before you can be invited to apply.

The visa includes four different streams.

Business Innovation stream – This visa is for individuals with proven business skills who wish to set up, grow, or manage a new or existing business in Australia. Applicants need to be nominated by a State or Territory Government, and we will handle this nomination process on your behalf.

Investor stream – This visa is aimed at those who want to make a designated investment of at least AUD 1.5 million in an Australian State or Territory while continuing business and investment activities in Australia. Nomination by a State or Territory Government is required, and we can manage this application on your behalf.

Significant Investor stream – This visa is designed for people prepared to invest at least AUD 5 million into approved significant investments in Australia and continue their business and investment involvement. Applicants can be nominated by a State or Territory Government, or by Austrade on behalf of the Australian Government. We will arrange this process for our clients.

Premium Investor stream – This visa is for applicants who are willing to invest at least AUD 15 million in approved premium investments in Australia and maintain ongoing business and investment activities. To apply, you must be nominated by Austrade on behalf of the Australian Government. This visa serves as the initial step towards becoming eligible for the Business Innovation and Investment (Permanent) visa.

Eligibility – To apply for this visa, you must first submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) and receive an invitation to apply through SkillSelect. We will handle the preparation and submission of your EOI on your behalf.
