Australia offers a wide range of family visas designed to cover most situations. While not exhaustive, we highlight that the majority of the more commonly chosen options fall within the Family Category.

This visa enables parents to reside permanently in Australia if they have a child who is an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or an eligible New Zealand citizen residing in Australia. In most cases, the application must be sponsored by the child. The sponsor is required to have lived lawfully in Australia for at least two years prior to submitting the application. Applications for this visa can be lodged either inside or outside Australia.
